Almost universally ignored by media reporting on Friday and Saturday was the re-calibrated, re-charged, re-energized, and re-focused President Biden was enabled by a piece of equipment which was not present on 27 June 2024.
For pundits and public sector officials supporting President Biden, this reality was not to be discussed.
The goal was, and continues to be, avoid reinforcement to the narrative that a president absent a teleprompter is a man who may not now have- and will require for another 1,460 days from Inauguration Day at 12:00 pm on 20 January 2025, the real and optically critical necessities to do the job and be viewed as vibrant.
Voters want to look up to their president, not look past their president.
