Question Asked Two Weeks Ago: Might President Vladimir Putin Be Betting President Recep Tayyip Erdogan Will Not Win 50% Plus One On 14 May 2023- So He Will Renew Black Sea Grain Initiative Before Second Round Election On 28 May 2023?

Question Asked One Week Ago: The Black Sea Grain Initiative Will Be Renewed- Even If Turkish Naval Forces Are Required To Enforce It.  Turkiye Will Obtain Return Of Merchant Vessels Stranded At Ports In Ukraine.

Today, the Black Sea Grain Initiative Was Renewed.  As Expected.  Will Not Be Surprising For President Erdogan To Obtain The Release Of The Approximately Sixty Merchant Vessels Stranded At Ports In Ukraine.  He Previously Obtained Release Of Two Turkish Air Force Aircraft Stranded Since 24 February 2022 At Boryspil International Airport In Kiev- Which Required Authorization From President Putin And Volodymyr Zelensky, President Of Ukraine.

“The Joint Coordination Centre was established under the Black Sea Grain Initiative in Istanbul on 27 July 2022. It comprises senior representatives from the Russian Federation, Türkiye, Ukraine and United Nations and its role is to enable the safe transportation, by merchant ships, of grain and other foodstuffs and fertilizers from three key Ukrainian ports in the Black Sea to the rest of the world.” 

The first shipment of over 26,000 tons of Ukrainian food under a Black Sea Grain Initiative was cleared to proceed on 3 August, towards its destination in Lebanon.
