Biden And Trump Should Use Appearance On Thursday To Show Two Props And Ask Two Questions. Props And Questions Benefit United States Voters.

Former President Trump And President Biden Should Use Their Joint Appearance To Show Two Props And Ask Two Questions.

On 27 June 2024, Joseph Biden, 46th President of the United States (2021- ), and Donald Trump, 45th President of the United States (2017-2021), will share a stage in Atlanta, Georgia, for the first of two scheduled joint appearances.  The second joint appearance is 10 September 2024, likely in New York City.

Neither event is a true debate as there will be intermediaries.  Each event will have two journalists from the hosting company.  The first event from CNN.  The second event from ABC News.

The United States electorate would benefit from a repeat of 1858.  On seven occasions, Abraham Lincoln, the Republican Party candidate for the United States Senate from the State of Illinois, and the incumbent United States Senator Stephen Douglas, the Democratic Party candidate, debated.  No intermediary.  No moderator.  LINK To U.S. National Park Service Explanation

Those advising former President Trump should suggest he use one prop and pose two questions to President Biden

The Prop: Former President Trump should take from his wallet a US$1.00 bill and hold it so the television camera may see it.

First Question: Former President Trump should then ask, looking directly into the television camera, “Is this US$1.00 bill worth for you today what it was during my four years as President of the United States?  If you are happy with its current value, vote for President Biden.  If you are not happy with its current value, vote for me.”

Second Question: Former President Trump should use the first question posed to him by one of the intermediaries to look directly at President Biden and ask “Joe, we need more debates.  Lincoln and Douglas had seven during their campaign for a seat in the United States Senate.  The Presidency of the United States is far more important to far more people.  So, Joe, let’s agree to have more debates.  Right here, right now, Joe.  Will you agree to five more?  One tonight.  One in September.  And five more before Election Day on 5 November 2024?”

The Prop: President Biden should take from his pocket a pair of handcuffs… Show them to former President Trump, and say “Donald, get used to these.”
