Ridiculous. Two Presidents Visit West Wing. Neither Important Enough For Official Meeting With President Biden. “Met Briefly” Finland President Who Met With Staff. Nothing For Georgia President.

Ridiculous… Two Heads Of State Visit West Wing And President Biden Does Not Consider Either Important Enough For Officially Scheduled Bilateral Meeting.

President Biden “Dropped In” And “Met BrieflyPresident Of Finland Who Met With Staff.  Does This Mean Five Minutes, Fifteen Minutes?

President Biden Did Not Meet With President Of Georgia Who Met With Staff.

Perhaps, Staff Had No Time To Prepare His Ubiquitous Note Cards- More Like A Blaincéad Chompord Or Preoccupied Planning Weekly US$500,000.00 Taxpayer-Funded Visit To His Home In Delaware…

Neither Head Of State Had Officially-Scheduled Meeting With United States Secretary Of State, United States Secretary Of Defense, United States Secretary Of The Treasury.

Is For Heads Of State Meeting With Staff More Important Than Meeting With The President?  Attention Span Issues?

Yes, Georgia- a country aspiring to be a member of the thirty-country North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), aspiring to be a member of the twenty-seven country European Union (EU), was invaded (with occupation continuing) in 2008 by armed forces of the Russian Federation, had this week consequential legislative debate and public protests, and a former president of the country remains incarcerated.

During his visit to Washington DC, President Niinistö met with members of the United States Senate after previous visits to California and Washington.  The Republic of Finland (a member of the EU) is soon to become the thirty-first member of NATO.  The country shares an 830-mile border with the Russian Federation.

Readout of National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan’s Meeting with President Salome Zourabichvili of Georgia

National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan met today with President Salome Zourabichvili of Georgia. They discussed recent developments in Georgia, underscoring their countries’ shared interest in Georgia’s Euro-Atlantic integration. They talked about President Zourabichvili’s advocacy for a unified and inclusive approach to achieving the reforms necessary to advance Georgia’s candidacy for European Union membership. They also discussed their shared concern about draft legislation to register and stigmatize civil society organizations for receiving external funding, which could impede the important work of hundreds of Georgian NGOs working to improve their communities. They welcomed the government’s recent decision to withdraw the two draft laws. Finally, they discussed the need to ensure Russia continues to feel the full economic costs of the sanctions, export controls, and other economic restrictions imposed by the United States and a coalition of over 30 allies and partners on Russia to hold Putin accountable for his war in Ukraine. Mr. Sullivan underscored the need for Georgia to avoid becoming an avenue for evasion or backfill.
