South Africa President Spokesperson Questions Legitimacy Of Air Raid Siren In Kyiv During Africa Leaders Delegation Visit.

Skepticism Derives From Theatrical Use Of Air Raid Sirens By President Zelensky During Visit By President Biden.

“I took the video from the hotel here in Kyiv.  It’s very strange that we didn't hear or see an explosion.  There's obviously some deliberate misinformation being spread here.  People are going on about their day.  As we expected this mission was never going to be easy but some of the hurdles are deeply disturbing, like the treatment you all received and others outright amusing, like this so-called explosion.”  Vincent Magwenya, Spokesperson for President Of South Africa

‘Biggest Liar in the World’: South Africa Spokesperson Slammed Over Kyiv Air Raid Denials Despite an entire city and the world’s media witnessing a Russian missile attack on the capital, Vincent Magwenya claimed he saw no evidence of “so-called explosions."

The spokesperson for South Africa’s president has drawn criticism for suggesting a Russian missile attack on Kyiv on Friday didn’t happen and was “deliberate misinformation.”  Vincent Magwenya arrived in the Ukrainian capital on Friday morning, June 16, as part of an African delegation attempting to broker a peace deal between Russia and Ukraine.  Shortly after they arrived, Kyiv was targeted by a Russian missile attack.  Kyiv Post reporters – as well as every other media organisation present in the city – saw and heard the missiles in the skies over the capital, and witnessed several loud explosions as they were intercepted.  South African President Ramaphosa himself, during a press conference after meeting Ukrainian President Zelensky, acknowledged reports of missile strikes and expressed concern that such things hinder peace efforts.  Despite this, Magwenya told South African news outlet News 24 that he had not witnessed anything to suggest an attack took place.

“It's very strange that we didn't hear or see an explosion,” he said. “There's obviously some deliberate misinformation being spread here. People are going on about their day.”  Such is the frequency of air raid sirens and actual attacks in Kyiv that many people – either through choice or necessity due to work commitments for example – do not go to bomb shelters and instead carry on as normal, a fact Magwenya misinterpreted as evidence the attack did not occur.  Referring to a short video he posted on Twitter around the time the air alert was in place, he said of the reports of explosions: “From my own experience and those I am travelling with, yes, I am disputing it. Watch the video I shared.”

“We were all perplexed when we were taken back to the hotel and passed streets where people were going on about their day as normal. It's very strange and is, in a way, deliberate misinformation.”  He added: “As we expected this mission was never going to be easy but some of the hurdles are deeply disturbing, like the treatment you all received and others outright amusing, like this so-called explosion.”

2/20/23- Kyiv Air Raid Sirens Should Not Be Theatrical Props- Dangerous For A U.S. Presidential Visit. Overuse Numbs Their Impact In Ukraine And Fosters Doubt Outside Of Ukraine.

2/21/23- Prime Minister Of Italy Visits Kyiv. 15th Prime Minister To Visit Ukraine Since 24 February 2022. Unlike President Biden, Who Visited Yesterday, No Air Raid Siren For Her.

On 20 February 2023, Joseph Biden, 46th President of the United States (2021- ), visited the capital of Ukraine, the city of Kyiv.

Volodymyr Zelensky, President of Ukraine (2019- ), and his theatrically-obsessed team according to senior-level officials within the armed forces of Ukraine were enthusiastic about using an air raid siren during the visit by President Biden regardless of its necessity.

An opportunity to again engage in “performance art” with air raid sirens seemingly to correspond with the arrival of a head of state, head of government, or important delegation.  The White House seemed not discouraging.

According to an official of the government of Ukraine, the reason for the air raid siren was a MiG aircraft departing from a military installation in Belarus.  Unknown whether the MiG aircraft was operated and controlled by the armed forces of Belarus or the armed forces of the Russian Federation; and from which military installation in Belarus the aircraft departed and in what direction the MiG aircraft was heading.  According to The New York Times, a missile from a MiG aircraft can arrive to Kyiv in approximately twenty minutes.  Actually, the duration can be ten minutes depending upon the type of missile.

If there was a legitimate reason(s) for the use of air raid sirens during the visit by President Biden to Kyiv, then why was not the delegation immediately sequestered in the nearest bunker- underground metro station, parking garage, etc.?

No images of President Biden wearing a flak jacket, helmet?  Why would not the United States Secret Service (USSS) responsible for protecting the President of the United States hustle code name “Celtic” to a secure location?  Nope.  He was wearing a suit into an active war zone.

5/21/23- At G7 Summit: Air Raid Sirens No Joking Matter, President Biden And President Zelensky. Laughing About Ignoring Air Raid Sirens Seriously Erodes Zelensky’s Credibility. Message To 3 Million In Kyiv?

On 21 May 2023, during the 49th G7 summit in the city of Hiroshima, Japan, Joseph Biden, 46th President of the United States (2021- ) met with Volodymyr Zelensky, President of Ukraine (2019- ).  From The White House: “2:15 PM- THE PRESIDENT participates in a bilateral meeting with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy of Ukraine.  Grand Prince Hotel, Hiroshima, Japan Out-of-Town Pool Spray

  • PRESIDENT ZELENSKYY: I remember your last brave, historical visit to Kyiv.  And, really, our society highly appreciate for this.  And we spoke about very difficult decisions….

  • PRESIDENT BIDEN:  Well, you know, I -- some of my staff was saying that we’re supposed to be leading, but it was -- seemed to be following you when I was in Kyiv and those sirens went off that there was an air raid –

  • PRESIDENT ZELENSKYY:  Yeah.

  • PRESIDENT BIDEN:  -- and we were walking through.  We just kept walking.  And I thought, “Well, if he doesn’t care about the sirens, I don’t care about the sirens.”  (Laughter.)  But, well, I don’t know, I -- worried that (inaudible) trouble.  Anyway, thank you.
