On 20 April 2022, Charles Michel, President of the European Council (EC) which is comprised of the heads of state or heads of government of the twenty-seven members of the European Union (EU), visited Kyiv, Ukraine. The EC defines the "general political direction and priorities of the EU. The European Commission (EC) is the executive branch of the EU; operating as a cabinet government. Ursula von der Leyen, who previously visited Kyiv, Ukraine, is the President of the EU.

Since 15 March 2022, four presidents, five prime ministers, one chancellor, one deputy prime minister, three foreign ministers, president of European Commission (EC), president of the European Council (EC), and president of European Parliament (EP) have visited Ukraine. All of the countries are members of the European Union (EU); nine of the countries are members of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO).
